Sajid Mukhtar Pirzada: (21.08.1952 – Alive)

Sajid Pirzada is the 3^rd son of M Mukhtar Pirzada and got married in 1987 to Saadia Gilani (1968 – alive – Masters in English literature – daughter of S Aftab Gilani, Ex-Bureau Chief APP, Lahore & Professor Fehmida Aftab (Educationist) – Migrated to Canada). He is blessed with 2 daughters (Nishey & Shanze) and a son (Faraz).

Qualifications & Career:

• Graduation in Humanities: in 1970 from Jamia Millia College, Karachi (Obtained “Shirazi Gold Medal” in Economics).
• Joined Pakistan Army (National Cadet Corps – NCC) in 1971.
• Was recipient of “Tamgha-e-Hurb” (War Medal), participated in 1971 War (at Hub River, Baluchistan-across Maripur Airfield) from 26 Baloch Regiment (migrated to 57 Baloch).
• English language Course in 1972 from American Cultural Centre, Karachi.
• College color holder & Represented his college in inter college Table Tennis Tournament.
• Joined Commerce Bank limited in 1973 as Officer (Grade-II).
• Joined United Bank Limited in 1974.
• Served in different branches as Asst. Manager, Branch Manager & Senior Manager in Lahore. (1980 to 1993)
• Manager of a selected Branch (Opposite Services Hospital Branch, Lahore). (1994 to 1996)
• Customer Services Manager & “Greeter of the Hub Branch”, Bank Square, The Mall Branch, Lahore (2003 to 2004)
• Opted for premature retirement (VSS in 2004).
• Private Consultancy, relating to sick units / Property falling under Military Estate officer (MEO) Karachi / Hyderabad. (2005 to 2016).

• Commercial Bank Credit Operation (short course) in 1993.
• Customer services excellence (workshops) in 2002.
• Handling of Bank Customer Services for better business results (workshops) in 2003.

Literary Work;

He the central person of “Hareem-e-Asar” which is working since many years to promote the noble cause of family’s literature work, done in the past and in the pipeline. This group is based on 5 members, who contribute according to their time adjustment.He has authored the following Books & Research work:

• Aarzoo-e-Visaal (Urdu Ghazals Collection).
• Deep desire of love (A poetic way English translation of his Ghazals collection).
• Hareem-e-Asar (compiling of Family literature work which was lying unattended).
• A Genealogical history of Pirzadas of Jalandhar (Research Work in shape of Website & print Book)
• Biographical accounts of Pirzada lineage with prominent hyper links.
• Complete and directly traceable lineage of mystic and Sufi Trainers of Pirzadas’ family, dating back to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Social Welfare:

He is involved in running a micro finance team since 2008 to serve the humanity and needy people. It is named “Aasra Trust”. He focuses the city of Karachi (Lyari Area and other) and a couple of other nearly cities of Sind province.  He has also started some charity work in Islamabad Model village named as “Saidpur”, which is situated on the foot of Margalla Hills.

About the prominent Offspring;

Faraz Pirzada (pictured below) proved to be prominent and source of repute for the family. He did his ‘A’ levels from the Aitchison College, graduated from LUMS while did MBA from the University of Toronto (Canada). At present he is serving with Scotia Bank (Toronto) as ‘Marketing Strategy & Analytic Professional’ having over 9+years’ experience across with various industries which includes Banking, Telecom, Technology and Retail.
