Pirzada Masood-Ul-Hasan (Raja Mian): (18.03.1916 – 13.06.1977)

Pirzada Masood-ul-Hasan was the 3^rd and youngest son of Pirzada Muhammad Hasan (Deewan of Baoni/Charkhari States, CP, India). He got married in 1937 to Yousuf Zamani Begum (1921-1992 – daughter of Ahmed Rafiq, SSP Hyderabad State, India and grand daughter of Sir Muhammad Rafiq, Chief Justice of High Court, Hyderabad State, India – buried in Ghausia Graveyard, Opp. Askari -9, Lahore).  He was blessed with 2 daughters (Nasreen & Rubina) and 2 sons (Aizaz & Shahnaz).

Life Miseries

• Born with silver spoon in mouth and got brought up in a high-profile atmosphere due to his father’s higher status in the Government and enjoyed luxurious life in his childhood/youth.
• Due to his father’s postings far from Jalandhar he could not be looked after and brought up properly by his mother. Therefore, he left handicapped in paying proper attention to his studies by abandoning the Junior Cambridge in 1934 (Mission High School, Jalandhar).
• Used to visit Simla & Solan to spend his summer vacations while his favorite hobby was arranging parties and frequently changing the models of Cars.
• Started facing hardships in life after the retirement/death of his father in 1935 and 1946.
• Faced property dispute with the relatives for appropriate share/ownership against the Claim allotted Bungalow (16 Canals near Shimla Hill, Egerton road Lahore) on his and sister’s name. Moreover, the employees/their alliance grabbed the backyard land (opposite to TV Station) and turned it into a Kuchchi Aabadi got registered against their names with the help of politically influential people.
• Had to sell out his remaining land gradually on throw away prices for his livelihood inspite of its high value in the market. Presently a high-rise building “Shaheen Complex” as Commercial Plaza is constructed on the Front at Egerton Road.
• Due to heavy litigations he faced health deterioration during his last years of life.

Out of his 2 sons/ 2 daughters, Shahnaz Pirzada (pictured below) proved to be prominent in pursuing his professional career and in the practical life.
