Pirzada Ahmed Bakhsh : (21.02.1865 – 18.10.1901)
(Buried in Basti Shaikh Darwesh, Jalandhar, India)

Lyallpur city project – concluded in 1892 Center Point – Clock Tower, Lyallpur

He was the 2nd brother of Hakeem Ghulam Qadir Asar and died in quite young age. In 1889, he got married to Umda Begum (1869 – 1939 – was a paternal cousin – daughter of a famous ‘Royal Hakeem’ (Practitioner of Easter Medicine) of his time; Hakeem Shah Muhammad Ansari – she was buried in family graveyard of Basti Shaikh Darwesh, Jalandhar).  He was blessed with a son (Abdul Rasheed).

The detail about him will be presented in upcoming pages.

Life Pattern; he was the first person from the Pirzada family of “Danishmand Ansaar – Jalandhar”, who acquired the Modern Education of Europe. Actually his father Muhammadee Shah was doing business in Shimla and in other big cities, when Sir Syed Ahmad Khan advised Muslims to start modern education to compete Hindus in all parts of life, so he was impressed and started his son’s education from Aligarh College.

He was the first to assume the title of “Pirzada” instead of, Peer, Shah, Mian, Maulana, Hakeem, Shaikh or Khwaja in the past written by ancestors. Hence, beginning of modern education became the cause of decline in taking interest in the old traditional knowledge of spiritual education which had been a precious inheritance of the family.
