Pirzada Abdul Majeed was the 5th son of Pirzada Ghulam Qadir Asar. He was married in 1936 to Rasheeda Begum (1908-1996 – eldest daughter of Maulana Ahmad Ali Qusoori and Mian Mehmood Ali Qusoori was her uncle – buried in Miani sb Graveyard, Bahawalpur Road, Lahore). He was blessed with a daughter (Nayyer) and 3 sons (Umar, Suhaib and Tariq).

He had great interest in education and remained student till his death, as he did his MA in 1926 while LLB in 1966 after a long gap of 40 years.
He was a good cricketer and leg break bowler especially skilled in delivering googly. In those days cricket matches between Islamia College, Lahore verses Government College, Lahore used to be very exciting as Islamia College won for the first time contrary to the wins made by Government College in the past. This all was just due to the joint efforts made by Abdul Majeed & the Fast bowler (Nisar Ahmed) that fetched win for the Islamia College, Lahore.
About the Grave;
The Persian verse written on his grave-plate:
اے کہ کر دی ذِکرم بر سرِگورم گزرے
کُن دعا برمن و سوئے خود افگن نظرے
کہ تُو ہم زیرِ زمیں ہمچومن آتی روزے
کارِ آن روز کُن امروز مشوبے خبرے

His wife is buried beside him, but fixing of her grave-plate still requires attention by her children. I offer my services for the selection of any suitable verse, as a gesture/tribute to the ancestors.
About the Prominent Offspring:
Out of his 3 sons/ 1 daughter, Tariq Pirzada (Pictured below) had a nice career as Chartered Accountant and retired as Director Finance in PARC, Islamabad.
