Khalid Mukhtar Pirzada: (04.08.1948 – 07.02.2001)

Khalid Pirzada was the eldest son of Muhammad Mukhtar Pirzada and got married in 1973 to Syeda Khalida Rafiq (1953 – 2018 – maternal cousin – daughter of Syed Rafiq Ahmad – teacher by profession).  He was blessed with 4 daughters (Muneeza, Ammara, Qausain & Zunaira) and a son (Muhammad Ali). While Muneeza died of heart attack in 2013 unfortunately.

Qualifications & Career:

• F Com from Jamia Milliya College, Karachi.
• Graduation from Karachi University.
• Joined Packages Ltd, Lahore in 1970, as stores Supervisor/Accounts Officer, and remained on this post till 1974.
• Worked with his father (partnership) from 1975 to 1978 in Qadria Plastic Industry, Aibak Road Anarkali Lahore.
• Joined “Shamza Bakers” (Jail Road Lahore) as Manager from 1979 to 1983.
• Started his own Bakery business in 1984 with the title “Hot-Cakes” at Wahdat Road Lahore (Factory+Show Room) while winded it up in 1986.
• On closure of the outlet, joined “Saaera Memorial Hospital” (Model Town, Lahore) as Accounts officer from 1987 to 1989.
• Joined the IT company “M/s Jeonix – an American Saudi Project” (Garden Town Lahore) as Admin Officer from 1990 to 1992.
• He got retired from the job much before time, due to acute heart problem. Died in heart attack in 2001.

Extra Curricular:

He was a very good cricket player in middle order as hard hitting batsman, who used to be the main scorer of “Seven Star cricket club” (Model Colony, Malir Cantt, Karachi).

About the prominent Offspring;

Muhammad Ali Pirzada (pictured below) is prominent amongst all and has completed his MBA from American Int’l College, Lahore.  Initially he joined ABN Amro Bank (Lahore) while later-on he switched over to BOP (Lahore) as Unit Manager (Consumer Finance Division). At present he is serving in ‘First Abu Dhabi Bank’, Regional Office (Abu Dhabi-UAE) as Anti-Money Laundering Consultant.
