Dr Ismat (Pirzada) Akhtar: (1939 – Alive)

Ismat Pirzada is the 2^nd daughter of Pirzada Ameer Hasan and got married to Muhammad Akhtar Ansari (1936 – alive – Civil Engineer by profession – settled in USA). She is blessed with 2 daughters (Sofia & Nadia).

Qualifications & Career:

• FSc in 1958 from Lahore College for Women, Lahore.
• Graduation (Fine Arts – Honours) in 1960.
• MA (Fine Arts) in 1963 from Punjab University.
• PhD in Fine Arts in 1978 from Edmonton, Canada.
• Post Graduate Diploma (Musicology) in 1966 from London.
• Served “Lahore Museum”, as a “Research Officer” from 1963 to 1974.
