Dr. Durr-E-Sameen (Pirzada) Ashraf : (30.09.1939 – Alive)

Durr-e-Sameen is the 3^rd daughter of Abdul Rasheed Pirzada and got married in 1960 to Sardar Muhammad Ashraf Jan Durrani (1934 – alive – grandson of king of Afghanistan, Dost Muhammad – was an American Diplomate by profession). She has one daughter (Maria) and a son (Ayub).

Qualifications & Career:

• She started schooling at Sacred Heart Convent, Dilhouse and completed her Matriculation from Quetta Girls College with flying colors as she stood 1^st class first in the Matric examination.
• She did her graduation in 1960 as a student of Govt. College University, Lahore.
• She was highly educated as she did double M.A. (Cultural science and Mass Communication) from North Western University, Boston, USA.

About the prominent Offspring;

Maria Jan (pictured below) is a double Masters, in Economics & also  in Media Communications and presently working in Al-Jazeera TV (English) Doha, Qatar  as a senior producer.
